About Finlay Cooper Fund
The Finlay Cooper Fund was formed in August 2006, by myself and my wife Julie.
We lost our son Finlay in January 2002, in a tragic choking accident and we wanted to do something positive in his name to try and help children’s causes.
So when I retired from playing football in 2006, we started to raise money in earnest with the help of a lot of generous people. Donations have been given to a large number of children’s causes including hospices, a diabetes trust and also a Cancer Ward.
With the help of people like yourselves, we hope to help children’s causes for many years to come, in Finlay’s name!
Former Middlesbrough, Millwall, Nottm Forest and England Defender
Zoe’s Place, Butterwick House Children’s Hospice, the children’s diabetes unit at James Cook University Hospital and Martin House at Boston Spa near Wetherby are just some organisations that have benifited from the fund so far.
If you are raising money for the fund and would like to send the details or photographs you can email them to: email@example.com
